PistonHeads.com: Road Toll Devices to be Tested Next Year

thats disgusting!!
just more ways for the ####ing government to take our money and make us more in debt!!!!!!!!!
Makes me angry
i can see it! in 10 years time every1 driving the speed limit cuz auto tickets will b isssued because of the trackers in the car!
u will be buying a device that kills it! #######s!

I'd refuse to pay it, and i'm sure if everyone else did too.. what can they really do about it?.

u cant get a gprs blocker.... they r like £150
well worth it u can speed and not get charged lol!
but if u get caught or turn it off they will know bout it so u will prob get prison or summat...
i will do it though.
if every1 does it then it would b great lol!
stick this government

i understand the concept of having toll on the busiest sections of the motorways cos most countries do it but £1.30 a mile? bleeding hell!

this will hamper the UK travel industry even further, imagine travellers ie caravaners staying at home and people opt for holidays abroad instead. Motorways will indeed be clearer but no one will want to go anywhere, the effects to retail etc will be like dominos.

as arnold says, hopefully if everyone sticks together they cant do FA... its just so the goverment can track us anyway!

so u will prob get prison or summat...

Unlikely as they can't get people in jail who deserve to be there! If everyone did it.. no chance.

Shoot the lot of them!! government scum. If anything gets fitted to my car, it's coming straight out.

i know same here! how are they gonna fit em all anyway!
the reason why its £1.30 a mile is cuz its making the money back from the trackers they install!
it will cost a bomb!

am absolutly ####ing raging here at work haha..... they try and put a tracker in my car and all bloody show them where to shuv it

Me too!
i will deffo have something to say if they try and do that!
all that extra weight will kill the 1 litre beast! lol

Fitting trackers is not a feasable option, it would cost way too much money and time and not be cost effective.

What i'd like to know is where road tax goes? Theres plenty of distribution warehouses in my area, all with frequent visits from lorry drivers, a rigid 10 tonne wagon itself can cost upto £1200 a year to tax, yet the roads here are in an appauling state.

But hang on, what's opening up in 2012? Will last around 6 months and never be filled to max capacity? And i wonder where all twelve billion pounds is coming from to build it...

In my opinion we're heading for an economic collapse because of stupid government spending. We need to install a democratic leadership so everyone has a chance to have their say on whats necessary and whats not, we also need a better budgeting system and finally we need to focus our attention more on the UK rather than other countries. I hate the thought of people starving to death and living under dictatorship, but we need to start looking after number 1

Presidant Robama lol

I don't understand why people vote for labour, conservatives and the likes, then complain we never have any say in what goes on... Thats the idea behind democracy
