WTD: IPOD or Ceative zen 20GB

You tried e-bay mate, usually quite cheap there. Also check this link out. Its the Apple website, and if you put in a College or uni that you are at, you get a discount!

Can anyone confirm that the Ipod doesnt actually play MP3's but some apple format like clone? Im sure that was the case. And if so the reason I would never get one..
 
i thought ipod DID play mp3's, but not .wma's...

also consider the iriver 20gb...
 
i'm almost certain the ipod doesn't support wma's ben. where did you hear it did?
 
Ipod does play MP3's, but you can also use the ac4 format (or whatever it is), which apparently offers better compression with better sound quality! You can convert your mp3's to the other format using the Apple Itunes software :)
 
i think it's .acc? that is the mp3 equilivent for apple not bad compression but i don't know about the sound quality...

Oh yeah, can get them both off ebay but i think the creative zen is a lot better than the i-pod. Its a little larger but i would rather have one of them if i could but they dont seem to be budging much from RRP on ebay
 
that's harsh mate.

i-pods are ok but there are alot of MP3 players on the market that are very good.

i have seen this thing called a media station which can shwo pictures and avi's etc...
