WTD: Garrett T2

Mine is off a lancia delta, I think they were also used on rs turbo's. I would imagine they are different trims and a'r s though on different cars.

Well it cant be a basic T2 since they are way out of their range on a 1.8l car.

nissan cars with twin turbo setup are not worth bothering with and very small compressor housing due to it coping with 1.3cc ie skyline etc.

DME Motorsports has quoted me £150 for a good condition working 2nd hand T25.

The 1.8 L (1809 cc) CA18ET produces 135 hp (89 kW) and 141 ft·lbf (183 Nm) from a single Garrett T2 turbocharger which did not feature an intercooler (Autocar 1986). It was built from 1984 through 1988. The engine has fuel delivered via Multiport Fuel Injection.

It was used in the following vehicles:

1984-1986 Nissan 200SX Turbo (-1988 Canada)
Mid 1980s Nissan Bluebird Turbo (UK Market)
Mid 1980s Nissan Silvia S12 (UK Market)....
Reliant Scimitar 1800ti


if anyones arguing..wikipedia states that the T2 garret WAS on the nissan 200sx.....and the bluebird turbo..

and my exhaust down pipe still has the nissan logo stamped on it..lol

sorry mate i was talking UK market stuff.

AFAIK the only UKDM 200SX (S13) was the twin cam CA18-DET with 167 BHP, which used the garrett T25 turbo. The later S14 used an SR20-DET with 2.0 and a garret T28R I think.

apologies if it was fitted to some variants- just didnt want the guy to go down the scrappy and find out he'd wasted his time seeing a T25 bolted to the exhaust manifold.

At least he's sorted now anyway :grinning:

Im pretty sure the UK S13 200sx used a T25.

the s12 silvia was called the nissan 200sx in the usa, its best not to count on american sites for information, a lot of the stuff on wikipedia is not right, my post is correct to what turbos nissan used
