Going to phone Nissan tomorrow to find out how much a new cat will cost for my car. It's making a BIZARRE noise out the exhaust and is really struggling power-wise :suspect:.

Cheers guys, it sort of hangs off the manifold. It looks like this:

Not surprised it's knackered to be honest, before I replaced the injector it was misfiring for 5,000+ miles :suspect:.

Would love to Frank but this really is a daily driver, I need it fixing ASAP. Wouldn't mind decatting, bloody thing'd probably pass anyway, it's recent emissions test was superb - no CO at all :grinning:.

The ones under the car probably do, this one connects to the manifold so probably heats up enough after half a mile or a mile .

Holy crap dude! £485 - it's in on Saturday. Gutted about the cost but can't wait to have all my FASTNESS returned :blush:. The noise was the blockage causing the sprung bolts between the cat and the mani to seperate under hign rev's :wow:.

jesus, you could get stainless manifold and downpipe made up to joint the rest of your catback for that price

i guess its to late now. nut you could have got one of those variable exhaust restrictors and only open it fully when you want to be loud

Interesting, just spoke to a very nice chap at JP Exhausts and they can't do anything because any anti-pollution equipment fitted after 2001 has to be type-approved..? Oh well, back to Nissan .
