Webers

ok this one goes out to anyone who is familier with the twin webers,

They have just been fitted to my ma10, they sound very nice but arent running right atm. bare in mind that i havent had a good look into this yet as i had very limited time last night, so literaly bolted them on piped them up and started the engine.

first time i started up, idled at about 1000rpm, squeezed the throttle revs built nicely however, when i let off the gas there is a delay before the revs drop?

its worth while to bare in mind that i havent set the choke up fully yet.

any ideas?

That sounds like the idle screw is up a bit too much, i had it like that on mine...

Just look where the cable goes onto the latch and you can see a screw with a spring on it, just un-do that a little bit and see if thats any better?

more than likely the choke issue mate these need to be a full operating temprature before you start fault finding. also as they are now on another engine they will need to be rejetted and balanced.

also its worth having them idle around 900 as when youve got the lights on and electrics running the car is likely to cutout due to the electrics dropping the revs and you not having the autochoke/idel selenoid to compensate for that.
