hmm this is a little disappointing, because what i had read was that the micra was the first to come out of that "state of the art" factory. But by the sounds of it, it had existed ages before hand.

Yeh thats what the nissan australia release articles tried to say anyway.

Rather it was say second model car out of a new plant as by then have all the bugs sorted out.

Actually I think it was the 3rd. Bluebird... Primera... Micra.

Yeh.. But the first vehicle they built at the plant was the Bluebird. Says there in that article. It took them a month to perfect the build process of it.

I think you might find that the micra was the second vehicle to be designed at the sunderland plant (the first being the P10 primera).
