Hey everyone, im looking at tattoo ideas, idealy I want a forearm tattoo like the one pictured below, anyone get any info, pics that might hel me decide? Not so much that, but that area...lol

dont! visible tattoo's degrade and can influence your career choices, i have two tattoos and would love one down my forearm but A: its been done to death and B: they can ruin job prospects and also life choices for example my friend who has one cant get into some of the clubs in town.

I think quotes are the way forward, i have a quote on my back with a tribal effect, ill see if i can get a pic:

it reads:

learn from yesterday
live for today
hope for tomorrow

get "your name here" on ya on ya right arse cheek, n impress lasses in town with " i bet u a drink ive got your name tattoo'ed on me arse" or get M.U.F.C on you penis to support a massive club :D!

Completely agree with Ben, you may love tattoo's but many people don't so a forearm tat will have people looking down on you.
I had a mate who had some card faces on his forearm, now he has to where long sleeve shirts at work all the time.

My left upper arm, pops out nicely of the bottom of shirts and t-shirts, easy to show off but hidden for work

Got me another on upper right side of chest and small symbol on top of right arm, after another when have some spare pennies

Quotes are good if you can get one to describe you but make sure it's something you'll believe in till you die.
 
Go buy some tat. mags, and think about it hard. Get it somewhere you wont regret it later, eg. somewhere easy to hide. *DONT go tribal lol everyone has got it lol im sick of seeing tribal tats.

naaa, just kidding!

Know what you mean, got mine just before "everyone" got one, but I will argue with some effort you can get something unique, I asked my tattooist is there anything he's never used and wanted too, I showed him examples of what I liked, he then pulled out this design he's wanted to do for ages.
Good thing about tribals is you can make them "grow" which is the plan in time.

I think tattoo's aren't as taboo any more and not having one is as unique as having one these days, for me it's always been like the car stuff, it's for me and no one else, don't care if its the same or similar to anyone elses.

couldnt agree more, both of mine i have known exactly what i want and i designed the second one myself, when my lass comes round later ill get a pic, there both tribally sort of
 
No offence but its stupid sayign that, "if you have to ask dont get one".

If i haddent have asked then i wouldnt have considered what Ben said about Job prospects etc... Plus I was askign for idea's not permission.

how about down the back of your calf?! thats where mine is going next - its going to be an arabic inscription - i think they look cool - and - the only down side is if you work as a lifeguard or something like that where you wear shorts for work

just about every other job you get you have to wear trousers - i know not all so dont greif me if you wear shorts to work!!

just an idea - if you go for something foren *spelling* make sure you get it checked to make sure it says what you want it to and not that it says something else

i got my name on my back in chinese symbols and i'm getting my girlfriends above it when i have got the cash and time

Thats scary i've just looked into them an apparently they have a thing with the Ladys :p... lol
 
only thing that has a "thing" with the ladies is confidence... just make sure your not gna b bored of it in 50 years time coz its tough crap if u r
 
my mate got his name tatooed in some arabic language on holiday, when he come back he found out it wasnt his name it was andrew, which was lucky as it was his brothers name

My mate got her lower back done at lunchtime today to hide her x's name that she had done aggges ago, it was bleeding a bit tho so she had to see one of the nurses downstairs to get the dressing changed!!!
 
I got a chinese symbol that is supposed to say EVIL (don't ask) then when I bumped into old mate he showed me his chinese symbol for EVIL, erm...one of us says something else

Moral of the story, make sure you research the exact spelling/symbols of what you want

I had this one 15 years ago and havent regretted it once. Took ages to decide what to have done though. Found it in an old library book on tattooing that was written in the 1950's. It was full of pics of victorian circus people and cannibals!

Wow, that would look cool! I love the Calf idea, and would go for some Text meaning something down the back.

i say go for that idea mate - i think it will look the dogs!!

when i get the cash i am getting mine done like that and like i said my other halfs name above mine on my spine in chinese symbols
