Strange things afoot....

The Grey Micra conked out today on the opposite side of the road to where the Red Micra conked out! How weird is that?

There's no petrol in the Carb so my first guess is the Fuel pump....just as well it conked out today instead of being halfway to gatwick, phew!

would probably guess fuel pump...unless the fuel filters clogged.

check the fuel filter as mine conked out and it was packed full with dirt

Filter is ok
Petrol is getting to the pump
Petrol is reaching the Carb (had a little look in the Window)

I've checked the Mechanical Petrol Pump, now there is a bit of pressure there but not too sure how far the little arm in the Pump is suppoed to stick out or is it supposed to be flush with the Pump body?

Just replaced the HT Leads, HT cap, Condenser, Spark plugs and Points.

WHY couldnt it?

are you getting a spark?

put your hand on ht lead n°1 (dont really do this)

if your getting fuel supply to the carb but it not running

you only issues are to much air - no spark
