Sprayed your dash?

I'm looking to spray my dash and other plastics, inside.

What's the best paint and or pimer to use?
It's gotta be hard-wearing!!

I did this, on my ST (believe it or not) I found it had been sprayed previously and so washed it with cellulose thinners, and then used matt spray paint. It worked a treat, and seems to be wearing just fine. I did take it from the car however and made sure it was SPOTLESS before I did this.

Hello .. Satin Black.. Hycote no primer needed it sticks better and it doesen't chip white or grey

halfords do an interior spray for plastics! i used that on mine and its come out fine

i used hycote
it worked great and has been very hard wearing!
didnt even prime it lol just rubbed it down and cleaned it loads!

I used plasi-kote on my center console and gear surround and its held up fine for hmm maybe a year just like people say make sure its clean and sanded there is a guide i think on here of how to do it, you might need a lacquer to protect it i have some clear lacquer on mine from Halfrauds.

DO NOT>.... I MEAN DO NOT GET THE HALFRAUDS!!!!! INTERIOR SPRAY!

It will peel off.. no matter how you clean, sand your dash I had to redo mines in bits with the HYCOTE satin black.. and now its very hard wearing and wont scratch Tom Messy is right.. jamieccc ive no idea how it worked for you

I spent allot on the Halfords interior spray and all cans are got WASTE OF MONEY! trust me.. when hycote satin black is about .. £4 from any A1 Motor factors or high street motor stores

you can get it in 2 sizes 400ml 500ml I get the bigger one for only £4

you can also use any other normal paints in different makes but not too sure on platikote
and haven't seen Holts Duplicolour in a wile.. you can also get matt or gloss in the hycote

i got the halfords spray for my dash and used a plastic's primer its been on a year and hasnt chipped orpeeled at all

hycote is the best paint ive ever used, so easy to work with.... i resprayed my car with that hycote paint

i agree i have never had any problems with hycote paint, another good one with i sprayed my dash with is silverhook.
