Show Some Respect...

Natalie (PinkPrincess), has decided to leave the forum due to some of you ganging up in certain threads, i have noticed this myself and feel very sad that she has to feel this way, she has been very helpful to me since i've joined the forum and i would miss her if she leaved, so this is a thread to try and help her to stay...

Please post to help her see that we DO want her on the forum...

Ive noticed that myself too, just because people say certain things or have different opinions doesnt mean we have to ridicule them and point out every little mistake they make, i think its sad that someone would leave such a club, someone with such an interest in micras, because of other micra owners picking on them.
I think she should stay and that the "picking on" should be monitered and warnings be given. Maybe we should have a policy of "if you cant say anything positive, dont say anything at all..."
Just my thought...

Not been a member long and with me being one of the oldest members, there seem to be a lot of childish behaviour, I am thinking is this the sort of forum I should be a part of.

well i have no problems with her, and it would be a shame for anyone to leave the forums.

i'd like to think that these forums welcome anyone even those people who don't have micras but this just shows that its not alway that way.

people, post your support here :)

yes i think she is sound

modifying is all about, being different.

i bet a pink car would stand out of the crowd

and i think its good that she wants to b different.

im suprised as i have always found this site and the people on it to b very helpful and a nice bunch, especially all the ones iv met, not a bad word to say about any of u

lol:laugh:

She should stay, I like her pink car! very girly.

it'll be a shame if she goes, all because a few idiots who spoil it.

bring the pink car to the pod princess!

yea a bit of competition brings people together :)

and i'm sure people will think different when they see the machine in real life :)

Id like pink princess to stay

i think it comes down to people taking things the wrong way, or critism isnt put in a constructive format, and turns into abuse! If people worded critism, comments or opinions better then things wouldnt kick off as much as they do!

I remember from day 1 she was treated bad, she didn't know the "rules" and she posted general stuff about herself, such as passing welding courses, and from then she has had a harsh time.

Things can easily be taken the wrong way because many of us do not know each others personalities, there's things that I can say to someone that would sound rude and harsh if I put them on here!

It's a sad state of affairs if she feels that way and hope all members stop and take a look at how they address other members and remember we're all her to support the club and each other not to make people feel unwelcome.

Natalie - give us all another chance, your issues have been noted and am sure admin and mod's will be paying attention to it

i posted in that thread that your refering to, i dont think she should leave, but in that thread people were saying fair comments and they were just being taken out of proportion by here, people said the pink is not to taste, and she said 'do i say you car is crap because i dont like the colour' i think offence was taken from the most unoffensive comments, people did say she had done well, and they did praise her car,but not in the entirity, and that happens as everyone has a different taste, that post just got out of hand as alot do because people cant tell if other people are being offensive or just giving there own opinion in a way that to them is not offensive, alot of people said to me 'not so keen on your side skirts' i didnt take it badly i just accpeted that theres a differene in opinions

Yeah, we need more girls on the site! Lately ive noticed alot silly tiffs on the forums, not a good way to be heading.....

i dont think girls will sort silly tiffs, tbh i joined the site to talk about cars, dont car what the demographic is, more girls/more lads...dont matter as long as the subject is still micras

Girls sort out silly tiffs? Huh? I think its better to have a mix of people on here, after all the micra is a pretty feminine car....

hey people... thanks for all this... *blushes*
anyhow, for the ones who dont know me, you probably dont wana
i do mechanics and welding and love micra's... well tell a lie, i love the pulsar gti-r and micra's closest too it so far :p and i want an evo... *dreams*

I wouldnt touch a pulsar any more, I have seen what they cost and what can go wrong. Get an old evo. They are cheaper and SO SO much better.

Not really, u just need to know where to look and need to know wot ur looking for.

i was also thinking in terms of tuning. I believe alan was getting around 20mpg off the boost?

Ian

I would never buy one due to the problems associated with them, but there are decent priced gtir's out there. There are other nissans i would prefer including the skyline gtst (hopefully next car) and the 200sx

well my ex had a replica... was pretty but not the real thing...
i want an evo 6, but i wouldnt refuse an evo 8 lol...
then again i am hopefully going to try get the appenticeship at mitsi after college

good luck :).. you can do alot with evos, i.e. this clip of my mates http://www.fusionvideo.co.uk/videos/allenbrunt.wmv was achieved by spending around £15K or so INC the car! You simply cannot do this on any other car that im aware of.

If they're within most peoples budget then they've gotta be wrecks! I dont know many people that could easily afford one at the moment.

Pink Princess, Evo 8's should get a little cheaper now the Evo 9 is on the way!

argh really  i wanted one of those engines for my car...

what kind of problems and why?

Going back to the pulsar series, you can get an Almera GTi for under 2 grand now, SR20 powered with about 150bhp out of the box standard :)

(I joked around with an insurance quote on one, £2200!!)

Woah. Engines in pulsars are NOT a problem. Infact they are seriously tough. There is a GTIR from scotland with STANDARD internals pulling 10 sec 1/4miles. Its the fact they are so truly horrid and messy to work on and the fact that for clutch gearbox or major engine work it really is an engine drop out job, and its alot of work, far far more so than say an early evo which is about as complicated job as a Nissan Micra. One of the main issues with the pulsar is that many bits are relativly expensive compared to other cars (and hard to source), and there are loads of myths about them. I may have a different view now Allen and myself know about these things, as we could avoid so much of the nonsense second time round. FYI allens old GTIR engine is still going strong and the new owner reports constantly blowing away other 'supercars' :) I do now feel though that the evo 4g63 engine is a better base of an engine for silly power.

I've seen the GTIR that Ed is talking about, and its amazing! Standard internals also, running late 10s i belive on the 1/4 mile at Crail. :)

Come on lads, shes a girl doin mechanics, a girl you can sit and talk to about cars and she wont get bored or annoyed! What more can you ask for?
lol

nice pics. not coming on to you, you aint my type :p we should have another thread started with peoples pics, the other one is outta date now. someone else do it, i'll probably get wrong :(

One of my work collegues has tuned his mates GTi-R to about 500BHP he's told me. At the moment the car is off the road, as he is having a full engine rebuild. He's been out when road-testing it after fitting the willwoods, and apparently sat on the back end of a Porsche... without it getting away.

Seriously though... GTi-R parts are very cheap now, and you can pick up a GTi-R for about 2.5k, freshly imported. There's always GTi-R's for breaking too (Check on the GTi-R forum)... so there's certainly no shortage of parts.

I've only rebuilt 1 GTi-R engine, as I tend to steer way clear of them at work. o_O

Welcome back aswell princess. :)

-Elliot

doubt you would get a working gtir with mot etc for 2500 but parts are still expensive even if there are a few around.
Buy an early Evo much better value and a great car straight from the factory.
