Ronaldo will be on his travels, who would you rather have in your team? they will never get on now, theyre both good players but rooney is so much better

Rooneys overated IMO, a good player but over hyped. He doesnt score enough goals for a striker.

Ronaldo on the other hand has strength and power but can score, top scorer in World Cup competitons says it all.

i think you are mistaking ronaldo as bein the brazilian player and not christaino ronaldo of portugal maybe jus as i read it :D

Let's face it: if Rooney had acted like the professional he is supposed to be and walked away without stamping or pushing, he would not have been sent off. He reacted in a very immature way. When you are paid that much and the hopes of the nation rest on you then you should not be losing your temper like some sort of child. I don't deny for one moment that he is a great footballer, but he needs to sort himself out. Just my 2 cents.

It doesn't matter how much he gets paid he's still the same person inside as he was when he was growing up on a council estate. Money doesn't change the person inside.

i have to kinda agree with that like... rooney's not the kind of player that if someone touches him thats gonna do sumasaults *spelling?* on the ground, he hadnt had many touches up till then and i dont think he was going to give the ball up that easy.

he said this today - "He slid in from behind me and unfortunately ended up in a position where my foot was inevitably going to end up as I kept my balance. That's all there was to it."

id rather rooney have abit of a temper and passion about him, means he actually cares and likes playing football and he's running up and down the pitch all the time when ive seen him play for man u and when teams counter he's always sprinting back and defends...thats why the fans love him, he always gives it his best.

this is what he said today also about ronaldo - "I bear no ill feeling to Cristiano but am disappointed that he chose to get involved," added Rooney.

"I suppose I do though have to remember that on that particular occasion we were not team-mates."

he grew up on a council estate, i highly doubt he would string a sentance like that together

I expect a 8 year old made that site, how sad... Why can't they just except the fact we lost?

its not that fact that we lost its the fact we were cheated out of it...the goalkeeper wasnt ready so take your penalty again! it put him under 2 much pressure!

ronaldo is a better player than rooney..over rated chav imo

just got back from scotland and on my grans street a guys got a flag pole with the scotish flag on and under that is the portugal one :D class

give rooney the captains armband and he will calm down

why do scots and walsh people not want england to win? must be a jealously thing, if england didnt get in and scotland or wales did id be cheering them on...... with them been in the Uk and all having the same queen same GBP etc.........

Rooney is slighty overrated with a short fuse but is a great player when he gets his act together

The goal keeper was ready for the penalty, once the whistle blows it blown its game on. stupid argentina ref

I agree with all your points..I quite happily support welsh, scottish and irish when they are in competitions imo the scottish are the worst i wont be supporting them anymore...thats if they ever do get into any tornaments/competitions as where were they in the world cup!

im sure i remember steven gerrard diving to win a penalty not so long ago...but thats o.k because he plays for england

its not the fact that i dont want to support england its just the way the press hype everything upand go on and on!! i loved ian wrights face after the game wiped that smug look off his face

gerard did dive not so long ago, but he never does it to an extent like ronaldo and his teammates do. While everyone put the spot light on ronaldo, Pauleta was also a disgrace in the match against France. Moreover, not forgetting Henry's incident as well.
I must point out Ronaldo is a very talented youngster but cannot be in comparison with Rooney as firstly they play in different positions, secondly they play differently (style wise). So stop comparing, at the end of the day, diving is wrong!
I think diving has ultimately ruined, what should have been, a wonderful world cup. FIFA should think of some ways to tackle this issue like they suggested using 2 refs like ice hockey and instant reply on ref's wrist LCD or something.

oh i forgot to mention, if Rooney is overrated then what about Lampard?? I think hes the biggest pile of poo poo since david thompson and des walker! He is an above avarage player who is good at shooting (sometimes)!

i think if he dives he should go to the medical tent for 5 minutes to "make sure" he's ok.

That way players will be reluctant to go off the pitch for that amount of time!

Ohhhhh - were have I seen this before?

Sure Andy was talking about this the other night...

LOL

LOL, yeah someone was talking about it, but I couldn't remember who it was. So I just pretended it was my idea.:grinning: :wasntme:

He's now looking like he's on his way out from Man Utd.

Ronaldo says it's due to the club giving him no support over the Wayne Rooney issue, well I wonder why lol!
