Rear drop links question

When replacing the rear drop links how tight should they be done up?

About 3mths ago I changed my obviously knackered ones for some new ones.
These have now started knocking again after about 1500 miles.

Thanks for the reply.
Each side was jacked up in turn with the wheel removed, then droplink replaced. Done up each end until initial resistance was felt then wheel replaced and lowed onto suspension.. Then done up fully tight.
Then repeated for other side.

Hope that makes sense!

Right. New, new drop links fitted again to both rear sides. Car was reversed onto ramps this time so weight remained on the suspension.
Old links removed and replaced, done up moderately then drove off ramps and bounced suspension to settle it. Then did up both sides top/bottom bolts as tight as possible. All seemed OK.

But I still have a noise! If not the drop links what might it be? I'm confident its not the exhaust and I don't think its the rear doors or boot rattling. My rear bumper has some movement in it and wonder if it could be that!
Car is currently on completely standard suspension.

Further suggestions welcomed.

* Fixed it! *

After replacing the replacement drop links- then removing the entire roll bar assembly, removing everything from the boot, tightening the bumper, wedging the exhaust heat shields and checking the panhard rod I finally found my problem...

Offside damper strut bottom mount loose. Not noticeable unless car rocked without handbrake on.
Have tightened with breaker bar to FT and significantly lessened the noise.. New corsa b rear shocks are already waiting to be fitted, along with alto springs, so that will fully solve the problem.

Will now repaint and rebush the rollbar as its off.
