Quick gearbox swap question

in a word no, the bell housing will bolt on the engine, but the input shaft splines are different, im pretty certain the drive shafts are different and the mounts also, the gear selector is different.

a pre 1998 1 litre box will fit but needs work to the gear selector to make it 'work'

ive got a 2nd chance offer on a 1300cc micra k11 5sp box just wanna know if i can pull off my k10 4sp and bang this on with out any ####ing around

the selector rod coupling is 90 deg out (they might be swappable tho if you remove the rollpin ?)

5sp k10 boxes i bet arent easy to get hold of

One on ebay for £130, the 5 speeds came on the 1.2's, super s, some 1 litres (can't remember models) they are out there though.

You have 2 options. pre 98 k11 with modification to gear levers or a k10 box.

pre 98 1.3 gearbox will bolt on but would require modifying gear levers, flywheel and not even sure on driveshafts.

£130 for a gearbox?!! Screw that, i can get any micra gearbox for £60 standard price from my local scrappy and the engine cost just as little. Ebay is rediculous there's an MA12 on there for £100 plus £40 postage, i got my 1.2 with manifolds, carb, dizzy, alternator and airbox plus it's long-ratio 5-speed box for £120. It's micra paradice round here, you all need to emmigrate lol.

Exactly my thoughts I had an arguement with my local scrappy as he wanted £150 for a b18c engine got it for £90! It was a bargain at £150 but he who dares wins
