Mot question

thought so.... I'm confused then, the pre mot said that the brake lines were dangerously corroded but i've just checked them and they look fine to me
 
They usually go first where they are clipped onto the car.
The pipe only needs to be corroded across a very small section to actually fail.

I had this on an MOT a few years back, took the car back home and checked it out and found it to be nothing more than very caked hard mud on the outside of the hard lines which are in close proximity to the fuel tank. Scraped it all off and have never had it mentioned again.
