Mini pcd

I know that the mini pcd is 4x101.6 and the micra is 4x100.

Is there any reason why you can't widen each hole by .4 to accommodate for the 1.6 difference or are wobble nuts the only way?

Yeah I would, for some reason I thought it was .4 per hole lol

Is it safe to do it, cause I've seen some wheels I really like but they only come in mini fitment

Its the seat for the nut that would need moving, as this would have the 4x4" PCD as well. Just enlarging or slotting the holes but leaving the seat as it was would still put a side loading on the studs.

However if the seats were flat and you just used washers and plain nuts there shouldn't be a problem. That's pretty much how I fitted the slots on the rear of mine. BUT make sure that you center location is good and regularly check for tightness.

Having said that there are dozens of dubbers and a few micra owners who have rolled on 4x4" wheels without any modification and I've not yet heard of any stud failures (yet) other than age old stories of imps and minors with the studs forced in to 4x100.

And the spec

Knew you would like them Mark after all you are a wheel whore

Thanks for the link (I was looking at their site after I found the wheels :p)

Those six spokes always remind me of this sort of thing :grinning:

They are such a good looking wheel, I cant believe they are not seen more often outside the mini scene. Are you getting just the wheels or a package - will they substitute some 165's for the 175's? you'll need all the clearance you can get with -7!

Was thinking of getting the package 175/50 is a lot lower than I'm sporting at the moment and I'm not as low anymore so may need to get the chassis acquainted with the floor again

i got pcd variant nuts from ebay, £38 nice chrome ones for my mini spec allycats. those wheels look sweet, but the nut holes do look very tight, they will fit over the studs no problem, but getting the nuts to bolt up will be the problem, depending how much gap there is around them in the hole (if you get me)

awesome i was gonna buy them before i settled for bandies. there is a guy on ebay that was selling them for about 240 iirc i enquied about getting a batch of 4x100 made up and he said its possible but it would cost $$$ and take some time.

Theres nothing stopping you getting the hubs redrilled (if you want 100% accurate). You'd just need to switch the studs over to the new holes afterwards. :)

Very very true. Mini websites that sell there wheels with wobble bolts included encourage me to do nasty nasty things.

That is an idea, but unfortunately I won't be getting those wheels any time soon (unless someone buys my stuff)
