MIG WELDER.

Hi
Regards type of welder, gas or gasless, single phase 13amp or 3 phase.
The gas is better for bodywork. The small gas bottles are rubbish though. Purchasing an argon mix larger bottle cost which is a consideration.
Gasless has a slag build up which will need to be chipped off similar to arc welding. Not ideal for bodywork.
The 90amp welders with 3pin 13amp plug are ok but work far better from a higher amp socket if you are able to get one installed.

I have always DIY maintained & done MOT repairs for 51 years as a cost saving hobby interest on my old bangers.

Buying a mig welder, learning to use it on very thin sheet metal while crawling around on my hands, & knees on my aris under a car on domestic wheel ramps is just too much hassle to save a few hundred £.

Build a trade relationship & always get a quote from my local trusted MOT testing & repairing workshop, job done & no hassle.

Enjoy your motoring ;)
