Micra lights

Hi. HELP!! I have just got a Micra K11 it needed work done it which we have done but we have found that the passenger side headlight bulb was missing but also the wiring to the headlight one of the wires has been cut but we dont know what colour it was or where it was supposed to go. has anyone got or know where to get a headlight wiring diagram. I downloaded a pdf manual but it doesnt show headlights and is in Swedish. Or can anyone send a picture of them [email protected]Thanks

hey did you sort this problem? iirc most of the wires are different colours. i've had 3 micras all with different colour wires. could you not look at the wiring on the other side? 1 is earth, 1 is dip beam and 1 is high beam. get a volt meter and test your other side mate.

Hi Mike. Thanks I will check problem is there is a wire attached from one light to other, dont know what the hell they have done?. Agian thanks.

on the side thats missing the bulb is the black plug still there? if so turn dipped beam on, stick a live detector or volt meter into the plug. as you look at the plug the top pin/slot is for dipped beam. if you get volts then thats fine, then try the others with full beam on. one is the earth so try and find that one first. once you find which pin isn't working then your cut wire needs to go to that one.

Hi Mike. Thanks for answering. We have found that the wire going across the car from one light to the other is live to feed the lights because the fuse has melted and even changed it doesnt go into the box properly, there is power going to the fuse but not from the fuse box to lights. So we have got another fuse box from the scrappie all we have to do know to see if it will work on its own supply is try and get the wires out and replace with the cars own wires. ( If we can that is. Wish us luck. Maz

i've had to do exactly the same to my k11, same thing, fuse has melted and the metal connection has fallen apart. i did this as it was the quickest fix, just means i only have 1 high beam, but i dont mind aslong as i have 2 headlights. i thought about replacing the fuse box but there are so many wires ! good luck mate.
