Just a quick one are the water pumps on the ma series the same no matter year or displacement?

wrong, yes they are different, the MA series engine had a different toothed belt on, i think the change over year was about 88 ish, the early ones had square teeth, and the later ones had rounded square teeth, be carefull not to buy the wrong one

Don't panic

yes there are two different types dude, yours is the later version, same as mine, same as everyone that has an 89' onwards k10. When you order parts like water pumps, go for the one's labelled 1.2, since it's the same belt on the facelift 1L & 1.2L, and 1.2 engines were not available with prefacelifts.

Here's what yours will look like;

I know it's a pain when you get a string of faults but do what i do and walk away from it for a while, have a break from it and come back with a fresh mind. Look at it this way; you only have to fix these things once, after that all you gotta do it look after it.

unfortunately i don't have the time to wait i need a car for work, not only that but right now i don't have the money to keep buying parts not with a baby on the way and a new place to pay for. i think this is the kick into adulthood i needed
