looking for brake upgrades

Hi guys
what are you all using as uprated front brakes on your cars?
just been trying what i've got laying round but not really happy with anything
Ideas please!

yep. ad18v is from a sunny N14 pulsar and ad22vf is from a Pulsar 2.0 GTIR or N15 SSS Pulsar

caliper sat very close to the disc on me micra hub so may require the disc edge to be machined down by 1.5mm

Thanks for the info but the problem i see is that the centre bore size is 61mm and the K11 is 59mm so the disc will not locate right how have you got round this?

I have never had any problems with the AD22VF calipers and discs. No clearance problems with the disc diameter or location problems with the hub sizes.......we run Black Diamond discs and the only modification required is a spacer washer to shift the caliper to be central on the disc as the K11 has a slightly smaller offset. Been running the same setup since 2002/03 and never had any issues.

heres my setup: GTi-R calipers and discs. Predator pads and ebc drilled n grooved discs on 15" rims as well. Could stop a train to be honest!

yeah i initially encountered this prob too. because the disc sat offset due to the 1mm gap it caused my steering to vibrate at high speed, which i thought was a wheel balance issue.

when i found out bout the 1mm gap causing this i asked a local mech shop bout a 1mm ring but told me it'll just crumble and quoted me ridiculous amount to machine it.
instead i just built up even layers of duct tape on the hub till the disc fits snugly central and walla, no more vibration
