LAN party games

having a 6 man LAN next week so need ideas for games. Any good genre really, no champ man etc though :p

so far we got:

dawn of war
CS:S
UT2k4
Red alert and red alert 2, rest C&C arent worth touching.

things like battlefield won't be good with 6 men either so take that into consideration :)
 
3v3 is to small for fps imo. I would stick to RA, RA2, AOE, Homeworld maybe? lol mainly stratergy games.
 
nah Worms Armageddon, or the one with the Forts in it... failing that... cant beat a bitta Call of Duty... or Gunz: The Duel (Y)
 
I got a few copies of Warzone 2100, that's fantastic for a LAN. It might last longer than a game of monopoly but it's good.
I didn't realise there was as many gamers in here... fwn

worms is awsome for a quick blast with ya mates.. RA2 is the daddy with yuris revenge.. oh how i wish i had a pc still i was awsome at that :D but i love all the C&C apart from tiberian sun thats a big pile of pish... carnt beet the good old ion cannon lol

what about real old school half life??
 
LAN veteran here :D

I'd recommend the following - some old, some you may not have heard, some have been mentioned. All good :D

Battled Field 1942, Nam and the second one plus all the add-ons (FF is the best mod)
UT - The OEM one, remember it.
Red Alert 2
C&C- Generals and the addon
Soldner
Freelancer
Counter Strike Source
HL2 Death Match
Dawn of War and the addon
Soilders of Fortune 2

Sure theres more but I can't remember them :D
 
A chap once said if some one can kill him with a knife on SOF2 he'd give them a fiver. I ended up with £15 :D :D :D

Gotta love that throw function!

should keep us entertained till 8 or 9 am. :)
 
I still think you should get C&C Generals or DOW and make everybody alies, spend an hour building your armies then remove the alies.

See who gets done over first! LOL

Probably the guys that have their allies (soon to be enemies) base defences INSIDE their base :p

Honestly; Warzone 2100! Best RTS ever!
 
warzone 2100 was an OK game, i liked unit creation etc but RA2 is the daddy :). Generals for teh suck though i wont get that ever not even if you tried to force the CDs into my tray i would shoot the PC before it tried too load.

too little people for shooting up games, have you tried age of mythology? its a strategy game, similar game to red alert but better in its own ways.

you can pick them for just a few quid now.
