Hi could anyone tell me if anyone has fitted a turbonator to a 988cc k10? and if so did it do anything, and how I how I could fit one or should I bother. I can get one of ebay for £15.

fwn did explain mate, uve got to look for old threads. Its a big con i wouldnt bother, i wouldnt even buy it for a quid. also seems strange youve never posted before?

ur not sposed to stick up for stuff like this! :p out of question what is it and whats it look like? any chance in a piccy sum time?

The other thread was full of crap, got locked and archived as it contained no useful info.

It will cause a loss in power. If somone can explain why putting something in the way increases air flow feel free, I say its not possible :)

Carb trumpets sometimes have a smaller cross section than a free pipe, but increase air flow at certain velocities... (you did ask...).

I should imagine there was a difference in the civic, and that was a loss of power.

Its not at simple as that, the trumpets are tuned and relies on the pulse charge effect to improve cylindar filling. (also affected by the exhaust design) This is way off what were talking about here as its hardly comparable to a bent coke can stuck in the path of the intake air of a stock carb!

Something like this?
