Wright-Phillips should be there and I think he'll be gutted to miss out, our forwards aren't strong enough without Rooney if he doesn't make it.

My choice would have been Wright-Phillips on the right, move Beckham inside with Lampard and put Gerrard behind Owen if Rooney doesn't make it. Then Cole on the left.

Defence Robinson, Neville right, Carragher left with Ferdinand and Terry in the middle!

week point..upfront,we cant score as it is but now we have to rely on micky mouse owen (sorry big_ben ) rooney should stay here and took dyer and walcott stay for bent..

i dont know where to start with this joke of a team. You have the likes of Crouch who is an absoloute donkey and also Theo Walcott who has never made a frst team appearance in the premiership ahead of the likes of ashton, defoe and wright-philips.

Hargreaves who i am convinced is Sven's lovechild. The only positive thign to take out of the whole team is the fact that Lennon has been included. JEnas and Carrick are pointless and woud rather see a couple more strikers included or at least one, i have to say i am totally baffled at the inclusion of Walcock.

the keeper situation isnt too much better, one is brilliant, one is an absoloute turd and screws up more than anything and the other is in the championship - so much for this being the best squad ever

Rik, Dyer is crocked again and i personally wouldnt have took Owen as i dont think he will be match fit, i would have took Rooney though even if there was the slightest chance of him recovering, our entire hope lies in his hands

James Beattie should of been in the squad. His strength and direct play make him the nearest replacement to Rooney. Ashton is no where near world class, not saying that Beattie is amazing, but he has more experience then Ashton.

Taking Rooney is a mistake, a half fit Rooney is useless against world class defenders that we will meet, if he plays in the quarter finals.

Walcott and Lennon are risky choices but i think that they will be successful as they are raw talent and will play without fear.
