Electric Shock

Decorated my sons room this week and finally today plugged all his TV, ps2, 360 etc in to the TV.

Whilst I was doing that, I had to run an extension cable under his bed, as I am no midget, no offence to midget micra owners!!

I could not reach part of the cable so I grabbed the nearest long looking pole thingy I could find and hooked the cable from under the bed and halfway dragged it out and suddenly

SSSSSHHHHHVVVVMMMOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!

Electric shock!!

I flipped back and twisted my wrist badly

Turned out that the pole thingy I used was my sons Star Wars Light Saber!!!!!!!!

My wife was Peeing herself, In fact she is still laughing now!!!!

i hate electric shocks, i get a couple of hundred volts off the lines at work. My muscles tend to spasam for an hour or so afterwards :S

I didnt actually get an electric shock, it was just the sound from the light saber that I thought I got a shock, that what I thought was so funny (after the pain of my wrist!!)

lol, that makes you a tool :p :)

why are the smiles on this forum not uniform?
Imported most of them from the old forum, but vBulletin overwrote the standard ones with its own ones:

:) :D

quality! Iv had a few nasty ones at work from coil packs etc - although i wouldnt wanna get a spark off one of the coil packs from the new laguna - some crazy amount of voltage going throo them!!

Daz :alien:

Hmm. I've been given a shock from a spark pug lead, a live fridge (not sure why I'm still alive but hey!) numerous and sometimes immense zaps from static electricity from the micra (damn thing) and to top it off I live on a small horse property which has lots of electric fences.

Getting zapped on the back of your neck while climbing through a fence in the rain while wearing thongs (or flipflops you crazy bunch might call them) = pain as you get multiple shocks. Yes, multiple shocks. First one on the back of my neck sent me flat on my face with my chest/gut pushing the bottom electric strand onto the ground. Yes it was still zapping me. This was a brand new ~7,000V charger powering the fences too. :S

U know what...

what really scared me after my 1st and only BIG SHOCK!.. was the paranoia I had ...

I couldn't touch a light switch or a plug or anything electrical for days...

MEGA paranoia...

I recall afew days later I was diving my car... and u know when you dont quite put it in gear at speed, and you hear a buzzing noise and very sharp vibration through the gearstick.. as the gears are grinding...

OMG I yelped like a dog and jerked my arm back almost throwing myself out the drivers window... while staring at the gear knob in shock!!!!..

Sounds really gay I know... but true..

I decided it would be a good idea to lick the end of my Nokia charger while it was plugged in about 3 years ago.

That hurt a little..

No but my made did and blew himself across the room. Well not really a made, more a #### i knew from school.

lol thats soooo funny :p

i welded my fingers together for a while years and years ago experimenting with DC voltage and capacitors!!!

don't put your fingers across a charged cap!! it really hurts lol
