bad news for nissan

just been told that nissan have withdrawn the night shift and now taking us back to 2 shifts insted of 3 shifts

1200 man staff being laid off and quite a few stand downs happening woonded here

the only good thing that will come from a recession is for the cmpanies that can stick it out. when the economy does pick up again, there wont be much competition..

Problem is with so mny people out of jobs it take a lot longer for the economy to recover because there is no one left to buy the products. If you have a job keep spending.

Those people in the upper class wealth band, who aren't really affected by this (can pay for everything in cash basically) are the only ones that can get us out of this quickly.

It's just circles really, because you need people to spend money to buy stuff, so people can keep their jobs, but no one is spending anything, because they could lose their job.
