This should do the job right?? Sorry Im no expert but 150w would bring the Genesis to some justice? Is it enough power? It wouldnt kill the battery if it wasnt cranked up too often would it? Im thinking of getting this one for her.
looks good! and no, 150w wouldn't even take a scratch at your battery... if you were running the car your battery would laugh at the amount of power it would draw (thanks to the alternator). And even when your car was turned off it would take forever to kill the battery ... It's when you get into things that exceed 1000w that your battery and alternator kinda go "" in which case you need to upgrade your alternator and/or get a second battery... but as i said before, 150w isn't even pocket change to your battery lol. Besides, if you're only powering speakers, you don't need more than 300w cause you should really only be using your speakers for the tweeters anyways... they don't produce enough real bass to be worth it... that's what subs are for!!
thats the one, ,its the same spec as the old V12's only...better, but its about 1/4 the size of the old one. and theyre stackable as the round metal parts in the corners are magnets...
Ideally Id like it all for 300... or 250... 150 for the sub 6x9s and 100-200 for the amp
anyone have any experience with these brands/amps?
REF300.2 - 85x2 @ 4 ohms
and
Infinity: REF-7521A - 97x2 @ 4 ohms
Swaying to the Alpine at the mo.
Had some infinity 6x9s in the K10 one time... and they sounded good off a kenwood amp... but dunno how the Infinity amps sound... mind you bass boost doesnt sound too promising... I once read that stable amplifiers dont have bass/treble controls... and they dont really need them do they? As the HU does most of that... wonder if it has a low pass filter on it then... anyhow.. before I confuse myself...
Back in the days... the soundstream was good too.
Thanks mike... we'll have to see how much I have left from the Engine conversion... that JBL looks good though.. I will try hear that next weekend so I can make an informed decision...
there's actually 10k watt amps out there lol... believe me, i Edited my pants when i saw it lol... i don't think i'd want to hear it in action mind you... you wouldn't hear it again i bet lol
