Well just fitted mine, and while i'm happy that it seems to have smoothed the power delivery out through the range, and made it more torquey, and it proper backfires loads when you shift it into second for roundabouts.

Basically it STINKS lol, i'm pretty sure it could never pass an emissions test ever! Do you reckon that it could be a bit to rich, also explaining the backfiring?

you can probably hear the backfiring because there,s no bleedin silencer,s :p , if not, there,s an overlap on the cam (exhaust still closing, as the inlet starts to open, in order to scavenge the combustion chamber) and the lack of back-pressure is letting extra unburnt fuel thro

I bet that's really loud lol. Yeah with no backpressure you're getting unburnt fuel into your pipe, either fit a small silencer box near the start of the system or put an exhaust flamer on the end.

yearh ive been in raceworxs old micra with a straight through system on, and its mega loud! esp on motorways you carnt even shout to each other!!!

When i mean straight through i mean straight through to the muffler/backbox, it sounds quiet but deep and throaty when idling, and past 5thousand rpm it gets a lovely rally like rasp lol.
Its the backbox fordy used to have on but there a silencer in it, while the backbox is huge the pipe exit isn't too big.

I was simply curious as to what caused it, love the effect though, its even better if you get it upshifting!

Edit: Oh btw the old system with cat and standard exhaust used to pop when slowly down, but pretty quietly compared to the new one :). (I guess that wasn't good for the cat lol)
