Just for interest what is involved in replacing the 1.0 engine of the car I have?

Will the larger engines mate to the autobox and mounts ?
Do the larger engines come carb or EFi?

What kind of money can I expect to pay for a larger engine ?

Maybe someone can let me know thanks

the 1.3 k11 micra engine and 1.6 engine are both fuel injection
a 1.3 engine could cost you around 50 -70 pounds i reckon

dont know bout the ga16

That's pretty cheap I bet they need a total rebuild. What about K10 1.2/1.3 or 1.6 ?

Doubt theyll need a rebuild just because there cheap, keep an eye on ebay for engines. To put it simply your need custom engine mounts, very much doubt the auto will mate with the engine, carb or efi depends on what year you get not so much the size and custom engine mounts.
Your best off going for the 1.3.

Do you relise that theres a 1.2 for your car that will drop straight in? Probaly get an engine for next to nothing.

feel the power. The MA12 engine isn't a great deal more than the MA10 you have in your K10, is suspected to be less reliable and makes little difference to the performance of the car. The best swaps you could do would be an E15ET from a cherry turbo (ask Umar), CG13DE from a K11 or the GA16. Mounts, driveshafts and fueling would need to be adapted for these three engines as would a reasonable amount of the wiring. Personally I'd go for the CG13 as some of the guys on here are pushing pretty high BHP figures from what is a near bullet proof engine.
