    another N/A project :)

We'll probably stick close to what we have considering we like to corner pretty hard and will be playing around with ride heights this time as well as switching to a semi-slick tyre on track. Saying that it would be nice to run say an ET37 up front and maybe an ET20 on the rear to even up the...

    another N/A project :)

More poke :oO Woo! Oh incidentally you were spot on with the stock wheels, 13x5.0 ET45. I must have remembered the 45 part and remembered it as 4.5. Grey hair penetrating the brain Ho-hum! Poke wise, what do you think would be a safe number on a 13x7 on stock unmodified arches Frank? We're...

LSD Gripper Diff's. Possible Group Buy.

This will be done if we choose to have one made for the 31V box should the vLSD prove to be useless. However we are changing many things on the car this year so the LSD will take a bit of a back seat until we have given the car some heavy shakedowns.

LSD Gripper Diff's. Possible Group Buy.

They are designed only for the standard K11 gearboxes. The 31V is totally different. The gripper diffs are really setup for rally cars direct from gripper and to be honest I am changing mine out, as the 45/45 for me isn't optimal. I am actually swapping for a 31V gearbox especially for the...

    another N/A project :)

That's ruddy light. The only way to get it lower would be to opt for extremely expensive options such as a Tilton 140mm clutch, (1.8kgs), but that would make it a TOTAL pita to drive and go against your overall theme. 140mm unsprung cerametallic or sintered driveplate = FAIL on anything other...

Crikey, that's one mental bit of fabrication there Frank ;) What does that lot tip the scales at now fully assembled?

    K11 carbon fibre bonnet

If it's from Japan, they are heavy for carbon bonnets, (circa 7kgs v's around 12kgs for a standard bonnet). Not sure why they are so heavy, perhaps it's a legality thing. You'd be better off saving the same mass or more with a race battery and have plenty $$'s left over.

    RS5F31V Technical information

Hmmm, odd but the shaft on the left definately wont clear the 31V gearbox seal. Glad you sorted it out though and can enjoy some VLSD goodness :)

    RS5F31V Technical information

Whoever sold it to you sadly supplied the incorrect shafts. The shorter shaft is completely different to the standard non-vlsd shaft in that the spline length is much longer in order to engage the viscous coupling. I do not have dimensions to hand, but a photo is attached showing you what it...

    increasing compression

You must have a very specific cam choice in mind I assume. Compression that high can lead to more problems than benefits and could actually make less power than with something safer like 12:1.

    Group buys: Fibreglass bonnet

Bonnet weights depend on the spec really. Typical Carbon bonnets that I have seen in Japan come in around 7kgs but these have all OEM hinge fixings included as well as a bonnet catch and probably have some legal requirements there. Many I have seen here in the UK will not have the front hinge...

    new NA project started

No worries tmrs, the whole car is aeroquip'd anyway, so I am sure I can conmission someone to do the work. I fear living in another country is going to turn me into a 'chequebook tuner', where I get everyone else to do the work and simply sign off checks for the work. The only problem is...

    new NA project started

Cool, I shall take a look at the boxes when I arrive back in the UK later this month. I live in Norway now, so time on the car is limited. Regarding kit parts, I was being purely selfish when asking for kit parts and was asking for myself rather than for the masses ;) I'd be more than happy to...

    new NA project started

Yeah, I noted the smaller bolting holes in the March box. I was considering to make up some studs to avoid boring out the bellhousing as it's not as meety as the K11 variant. Are they ok overbored to M10? I didn't note any differenced on the selector fork but I probably wasn't looking that...

    new NA project started

I have one of the March ST type boxes and shafts but have yet to drop the plate LSD standard CG13DE box out to attempt to replace it. Wondering what extent of modification is required to the bellhousing and rear engine mount....
