No Key Detected.

I have just brought a 2nd hand 2019 Micra K14 Acenta limited edition 0.9IgT from a dealer. Drove it home,10miles and parked it on drive and left it for a day. Now it unlocks and locks but when starter button is pressed nothing but a warning on dash Key not Detected . Fob batteries where supposedly replaced. Any ideas anyone?

Where do you keep your fob when attempting to start? Maybe the signal is getting blocked by something like a RF blocking wallet?

Check your owners manual, they are usually pretty thorough about things when it comes to key placement and interference.

I keep the key just in front of the starter button. So close. I have checked the cars battery and it's under 10 volts. So suspect that. Dealer has now collected the car and are going to replace the battery and check it over.Iwill report back when the car is returned

It was the cars battery. New battery fitted and car is now fixed.
When I bought my micra K14 n sport 21reg
in May 22 I was informed that there was no code to the radio when the battery was changed. As you have just had a new battery on your K 14 is this correct?
Many thanks Brian B

All I can say is that the radio is working fine after having the new battery fitted.
