wiring a coolant temp gauge

hey everyone, recently I've decided to acquire a coolant temp gauge and tried wiring it to the ignition switch. its for a 2003 K12 Micra, 1.2 65hp manual trans. I've tried to find any pinouts or somewhat understandable wiring diagrams and the only one I've found is really confusing. I need help with wiring it or at least a decent diagram that is readable to a normal human. I found one diagram but its really confusing and kinda has no corelation with whatever my multimeter says

I also been thinking to install coolant temp gauge to my 'big block' Micra.
Got idea of similar to this from here, sort of no wiring required!
