Doh, I did something very stupid !

I can't believe I was so stupid, but when I wanted to vacuum wash my front passenger seat on my 160sr, I saw the wire loom under the seat, couldn't see the connectors properly, and as I don't have a cd changer, thought I will just cut it. 😭. Yes, incredibly stupid, as the loom includes the seat belt and air bag wires. So now, I have a flashing air bag warning. Fortunately, there is no noise, and the seat belt beeping noise flasher isn't on. Is it just a case of re attaching the wiring? Will get seat out, unplug loom from seat, reattach with seat out, put seat back in and plug in the loom. Is this likely to be straight forward? Has anyone else done this? (understand if you don't want to admit to it šŸ˜…. Thanks.

It should be straight forward like that, but you might need a scan tool to remove the airbag fault code.

Make sure the connections are actually solid by using proper automotive crimps in an appropriate size and test the connection by pulling on the wires once crimped. Soldering is not recommended as the joints might crack from vibration.
