They're a pain in the ass to even service compared to a CG, and I kind of feel that having owned both, the CR just isn't as good, way more torque but just doesn't feel as alive or willing to rev it's ####ing nuts off.
vtec yocould that not be down to over compensating ecu to stop it tho?
Lol Frank just lolvtec yo![]()
vtec yothe vvl inlet cam needs re-programming to let it rev
ayeso if it was mapped right it could be a good engine?
Spot onbut on the GA vvl it kicks back in at the topend to stop owners raggin the engine iirc (the info is on the GA forum)
or a vafc adammight be worth a trysomething to fiddle with omex 600 has a vvl control function on it which is what i was looking at for thr cg coilpack engine so looks like it may be good for thi too

or a vafc adambig gains to be had from a CR imo (unexplored territory tho eh)
apexi vafc innitvafc? and id happily have go at tuning one![]()
ebay ?? and they can adjust the fueling if neededand also would you not need to change the fuelling to match the change in use of the vvl?
i,ve got one that i never got around to fitting, i,ll praps test it out next weekonly from america :/
actuated by a solenoid iircvvl on ga is done by oil pressure, you have to block an oil feed to the head to stop the vvl dropping you power at the top end...
That makes senseAye only acts on the inlet cam
Oil pressure plays a part... but that's to do with limiting the top end. The actual vvl is actuated by a solenoid![]()
You mean I made senseThat makes sense
the safc has,nt got the vtec switching ability tho ehand if safc 2 was viable , like they say in the thread i found this one

the ecu pinouts will be listed somewhere online i guess, clio forum maybe ?true, think ill try that 80 euro one, hey would it be tricky wire up to the cr? or fairly universial?
