How does both type work ? I just wana buy it and use it. Or do I need more things to go with it to use ?Plasma is compressed moving at great speed.
Oxycetaline torch is cheaper
ohh well like frank always said try things and grain experience that's only way learning, hmm thinking which to buy now, how is the air forced one ? I need air compressor ?You'll need more experience too
Oxy acetylene is a mix of oxygen and acetylene and burns approx 3000c and cuts through steel. You'll have to fibd a torch and the two cylinders to run it
And plasma is air forced through a nozzle and an electrical arc goes across it and it burns through metal... approx £1000 for a plasma cutter
You'll need an air compressor and the plasma machine[/quot
What psi does it have to be on air compressor I get ? Any , so many to choose from
I know I use grinder and cutting disc, used them but what abt shaping things out thought abt a plasma, but I didn't know it won't cut threw 8mm thick ?Plasma cutters are only worth it for 8mm+ think metal imo, used one on my back box and it damn near melted the whole thing. Use grinder with a cutting disk for big stuff, hacksaw for little things.
It's nothing to do with that I sold the full kit, am only asking coz I will need it in later to use on other stuffIf you're requiring a plasma cutter you're over engineering your alternator bracket this time
I wana shape ad cut things like flanges custom cuts and shape I might wana cut big mm for better heat manifold if I did make oneOn what? I genuinely want to know what you're gonna make out of 8mm steel?
You might cut it but you wont have the tools to shape it
I have a big grinder went threw many disc and takes that extra time then shaping it like t25 flange hot side shape that's hard lolWhat's wrong with an angle grinder it'll cut your 8mm and some
If you wanna go thicker buy a bigger grinder
Thrn to shape it a bigger hammer.
The torches are a nice commodity but fairly daft when you start pricing and evaluating value for money
How abt ill drop u stuff off and u can shape it out ?Over engineering things that's why![]()
Ill pay what ever it cost ill drop u few 12 mm and need 5 of them flanges made and some welding down, I get the 12 mm sheetBut that's gaining me nothing. It'll cheaper and more cost effective to have a piece cnc'd
ill pay the differents as long as its how I want it and in 12 mm so I can keep it strong and heavy duty one, none of that 8 mm I had they melt with lil heat on welder, unless u can mig it with 8 mmYou feel free. It'll all be chargeable by the hour. And will have to cover consumables too
Also known as.. not cheap.
Why 12mm?
10 is more than enough. Even 8 might do... over engineering again![]()
I can mig 0.6mm through to ??.. Not maxed my big welder yet
Why do you need 5?
sorry forgot I need the t25 on 5 manifolds which ill get cut and weld type, and yeh rest is rightSo you want t25 flanges... 5 of... with 5 holes?? For the downpipe?
Then 5 t25 flanges with holes in ?? Exhaust mounting flanges
Nothing needs welding
Yes I need them made and t25 flanges welded on k11 manifold x5 ill bring them, I need them rust free will wheel flap ?You've lost me now.
So you need:
5x 4 hole manifold mounting flange
5x 5 hole downpipe flange
I know wat u mean but if someone can do wat I need then they can do it and ill pay easy that way I think AndyPlasma cutters are too hardcore for anything you're likely to ever do, I use them for ROUGH cutting 6mm grate for grit blasting machines and it ruins the edges, it's not final cutting that's for sure.
