Is there such thing as a USB only KVM switch as in no PS/2 or even VGA?

Yes, you can get USB ones, but not to transmit VGA as far as im aware. We've got a Belkin one which itself does 16 machines + more if necessary. Keyboard & mouse signals are converted via software and transmitted over a single USB cable. Also does PS2
Most keyboards & mice these days are USB. I know you can get converters, but PS2 is on it's way out

like Arnold said, usb keyboards and nice are more common now, I have multiple computers and lappy (but I have my KVM), my mate wants a USB only for his PC and 360 rather than 2 keyboards

yea you can get usb KVM's to transmit VGA, we use a 6 port belkin at work.
