Yeah I know, I was just giving an example.

You're really probably better off just getting an aftermarket tacho. Not ideal, but it is possible to get a good finish out of it if you take the time. eBay's a great place to find tacho's for cheap. I got mine a couple of months ago.

You can have it for $50 if you like.
