Two friends have Toyo Proxes T1R and they only said positive things about it, except that it gets little bit loud when its old. My Toyo Proxes 4 is a softer tyre, and it's less loud than the T1R. Another one has the R888 on an MR2 with ford engine using a compressor and N20 system. I guess T1R is great for daily driving even if you push the car hard around corners. The R888 is a more progressive tyre, to be used on tracks and so on.....my opinion
