i have looked and its very confusing.
there are posts saying one thing then posts saying another.
what i think i have to do is, if get a tachometer with 4 wires
Live (goes to live switched)
neutral (goes to earth)
Tachometer counter (goes to negative side of coil)
illumination (goes to side lights or dash backlight)
and if it has 3 wires its
live (goes to live switched)
neutral (goes either to ground or the negative side of coil)
illumination/tachometer counter (goes to dash backlight or negative side of coil)
is this right.
i will study the instructions if we do go ahead with mod.
