No,the steering column doesn't touch the plastic.The column can move up/down just about 1 inch when release the lever which I think isn't normal.But it doesn't reach the plastic down moving.I think the column should move about 2-3 inches. Do all facelift Micras have this plastic? The shelf underneath is unusable in that way.
