Changing the sump, should be straight forward, I have changed one of my suzuki's but the process should go with out hitches if you take your time have sufficient access and clean the mating areas with a degreaser fluid. I would also change the nuts or bolts depending on model with new including washers. mate the sump upto the crankcase first to check all will fit smoothly, then remove, clean mating surfaces again and run a generous bead of sealant on the sump and mate this up to the crankcase and tighten the new nut/bolts. Try this sealant on the sump.
