Hi all, does anyone know how to enter the central lock key programming mode for a year 2000 JDM K11. It does not have NATS. The central locking mechanism works when locked/unlocked manually through the keyhole and driver's side switches. The pic attached is my original key which stopped working more than a decade ago (I've owned the car since 2003). I can buy a new set of remote keys but need to confirm if I can enter programming mode first.
The most commonly shared procedure of "Turn the ignition switch from Position 0 to ON 6 times within 10 seconds; then turn ignition switch to OFF position; leave key in ignition switch, after 2 seconds, the system will enter programming mode and will flash the warning lights twice" doesn't work for me. The warning lights don't flash even after waiting for more than 10 seconds. I've tried while the locks were both unlocked and locked. Do the JDM Micras have a different procedure?
