there hasnt been a car yet made that will top the mclaren F1 for proven performance, i mean 12 years as worlds fastest car, 12 years record 0-100-0, is still the most expensive car money can buy (circa £2million), is still the only car to come wit a full titanium tool kit and your own mechanic, the only road car anywhere in the world that can drive you to the shops fill the luggage compartments with your weekly shop with three people on board and stll do 241mph on the way home, it uses no silly hairdriers to reach its 241mph, it has won lemans 4 times, hundreds of FIA GT races, the only car in existance that made mercedes want to quit racing alltogether due to its success, it changed the rules of FIA GT and Lemans to ban the car as it was too fast. and lastly, is still the only super car that after its crash tests at 50mph still had the structural integrity to drive away from the impact, only damage was to the front mounted aero fan in the front compartment and to the bonnet area.
not one car can do all of those, not one car ever made. the ferrari enzo is slower in a straight line (see you tube) the bugatti veyron cant keep up with it round a track (see you tube) the pegani zonda is its closest rival, but has 1 fewer seats and is nearly twice the size.
perfection?.... no. fast yes. but so is the bullet train. dont see me wanting to buy one..
