Permanent live feed for memory....

hi all,

sorry if this has been covered 1000 times before (I've done a search but couldn't find anything specfic).

Just put a new headunit in My wife '99 Inspiration, used a wiring adaptor, bish bosh no probs!!

Only the units not keeping its memory when the ignitions turned off!

Can anyone tell me which wire is the continuous feed that I can use for the memory?

I did notice though one of the blocks for the cars loom had 5 feeds in but I think the headunits block only had 4!

there are 2 solid red wires iirc. Read one with a multimeter while the ignition is off, if you get a voltage, bingo

The headunit will have a yellow wire and red wire, swap these two around.

....yep - sure enough, a yellow and a red wire with bullet connectors, just swapped them over and Bingo!!!

Just need to try and sort out the crap she plays on it now!!
