On my Micra as soon as i turn the key is turned the engine check light is continiosly flashing on and off,
I have tried this morning bridging the 2 connectors you are talking about but still the light continues to flash on and off the same as before(there appears to be no change in its flashing frequency)
Any more ideas ???
