inner cv joint - c clip issues micra challenge gearbox

fitted a new micra challenge gearbox with 5.1 final drive and ap suretrac diff to my micra rally car , took it out notice a knocking noise - on inspection is seem there is too much play on the inner cv joints going in and out of the gearbox i would say 5-7mm . seems like when driving the inner cvs are moving in and out creating this noise , the driveshafts previously were fitted to a first facelift 1 lire box with no issues , the shafts are pre face 1.3 shafts
