I would like to know whether it is ok to set up the correct handbrake adjustment on the K11 by:

1.  Slackening off the handbrake adjustment screw until cables are fully             slack.

2.  Fully retracting handbrake operating lever inside each brake drum via a        tool pushed through the grommeted hole in the backplate.

3.  Pulling up handbrake one notch.

4.  Manually adjusting the auto adjuster ratchets until each drum is almost        on the point of binding when rotating.

5.  Adjusting handbrake nut until hand brake locks both wheels on the 4th or      5th notch.


Will this method work  in the same way as pulling up and releasing the handbrake umpteen times to allow the auto adjusters to ratchet the shoes into close postion to the drums, as this seems rather laborious.
