Just noticed that my last post has been removed.

I didn't realise that a girl getting a faster time than everyone else would upset you all so much.

It's quite pathetic really but not to worry!! I'll just have to have a go at this one and thrash you all again!! LOL

A new challenge is set and your still talking about the old one which is why its gone. The first post specifically says "On topic", aswell as it being a forum rule anyway, and it wasnt so it went!

If posting times, please post pictures as requested otherwise anyone can just type in any old time and wheres the fun in that.

Im gonna get myself GT4 aswell off ebay so i can try join in!

its a different challenge, plus before you were using a full modded car and not an arcade mode car.

right stay on topic now everyone (including me!)! :)
 
Just one last thing off topic....

Ian - that car WAS in arcade mode. I posted a new time for arcade mode only. That was a 46.something. A few more laps and a high 45 will easily be possible. That's versus a 47.1 somebody on here posted.
 
i reccomend people use the data logger saved with their best lap so far, and use it to compare recent better or worse laps to see where things are going right or wrong. i find with all my laps the max speed at end of the start/finish straight is always about 191mph my best being 191.8mph before braking to take the 1st corner. so no time really to be gained on this straight once you have the right braking point. its all down to the last series of 4-5 corners to get the good time in.
 
i think its best if everyone removes there memory card. That means everyone has the same settings, cars and levels etc for the next challange.

CLosing date is Saturday night!
 
I don't, I like the cars I have unlocked, if you aint got them then you haven't been playing enough :D
 
tbh, i think its gonna be easier for everyone to post their times. Then at the end of the week the person with the fastest time puts up a picture. Saves having 15/20 pictures posted every challenge :)
 
Niceley done, not going to try to beat that as I didn't like this track - have you noticed that there is only 1 sector on it?

see you got the 190mph up there. 1 sector? you mean on the time trial? or on the logger? i hadnt noticed.
if i win this i will choose another "world circuit" or "original" track off a no saved game choice. same with car, more the merrier.
 
ok new challenge started as this one finished yesterdsay.

thought i would choose capitan as its nice and twisty for the lotus. makes a nice change.
 
Well I really thought that I had the last one seeing as it took you a few days to beat me, at least there will be no probs getting the power down with this car :D
 
i dont know tbh. i just hope a challenge is always active and people are playing it.
 
I had a time, but used the more powerful 111r so back to the PS2 for me lol, the benchmark is already fairly high though

Hehe, how many laps did it take you?
That is def a-spec, b-spec is rubbish and I don't have the paitence to get it up to scratch.
 
not sure took me quite a few. i feel a bit guilty on the technique i use to get the time though. the game lets me do it but in real life it just wouldnt work. i got to within 4 tenths of your time and then i found the trick bit.
maybe future tests should be based on licence options. this way collisions or more than half car off track = fail.
a lot of circuits have a trick to be found on it somewhere. there are those that dont though. taskuba, my favorite, is one.
 
I think that I could have gotten quite close tou your original time w/out the trick, found out that you actually CAN do the double apex right-hander before the uphill bit and the tunnel in 3rd, still can't manage to do it on the one after the left-hand hairpin at tht ebottom of the map though...
 
question : are we using standard cars in this, or can we quick tune them....just looking at those pics and the weight and bhp varies quite alot...seeing as the orig spec is only 154bhp and 806kg

with standard weight and bhp ive gotten 1'59.589 :)
