ahh so i gatta change the system back for mot -.-darn okay

Seems as if the first cat in the manifold does all the work and the second cat doesn't get near hot enough to be effective.

Seeing as the Peter Lloyd system only replaces the middle section and backbox iirc you'll be fine for an MOT :D

The second standard cat doesn't get hot enough no. A proper high flow modern catalyst is needed for it to be effective. If you want rid of the primary cat and want things to work on a second catalyst alone you either have to rag the brains out of the car and test immediately or get a proper catalyst for the job. It also doesn't help having a car that isn't mapped properly. These are the compromises one has to bare with this kind of setup.

Cost however will prohibit 99% of the people on here, so the majority will have to compromise in some way and live under the illusion that a 2nd only catalyst solution is useless.
