The "fingers" do have a small chamfer on them and look like they will only engage one way... I just lined up the pulley and checked the dizzy to make sure the rotor was in no1 position and all is fine so least I know I got it right and not 180 out.

Tbh it started sounding a little rough once I took out the injectors and cleaned em with carb cleaner, it sounds raspy since and deffo not as powerful as it was before all this started.It was pretty nippy so im hoping the timing just needs tweeking a bit but ive broke the strobe gun i had so will have to wait till I can get another or borrow one.

I have been out in it this morning and did 5 mile and so far it hasn't died so just gonna take it for a longer run and see.
