Put a lazerline alarm into the st along with central locking tonight took 3hours. . . . .won't be keying the drivers door by accident anymore . . .sound

how hard was the central locking to fit? i fancy it but have never taken a door card off yet! also did you have to tap into the hand brake or interior lights? if so where did you do them? i think i could do the hand brake at the back of the console easy enough but unsure on the interior light! i should have done it months ago!

Central locking kits arent that bad, if they're intergrated with an alarm then you may have some difficulty wiring them both together, but it's also quite straight forward.

i removed a toad alarm & central locking from a K10 only a week ago, and looking at where everything went, it was quite easy! The alarm is usually wired into the door switches & a shock sensor, Anti hijack if you have it is wired to the brakes, the imobilizer is wired into the ignition and everything else, like alarm and central locking solenoid's are wired in seperatly. There's also a few wires which go into the indicators. You shouldnt need to wire anything into the handbrake.

This central locking kit & alarm is for sale, however the siren will need to be replaced. PM if your interested.

I got a guide here BUT it is for a k11, so it wont be that good for a k10. I noticed you live in Cardiff, so if you need any help with installation give me a shout.

Central locking was handy enough,I just got the door motors no seprate relay(Central locking only works with alarm)just 2wires from the alarm to 12volts, another 2 to Ground and 2 to each motor.Have a wire connected to the interior light so that If someone opens the door the alarm will sense the voltage drop from the interior light illuminating and set the alarm off,but also they're is ulltrasonic sensor, bonnet pin(Don't want anyone stealing the lump)and a wire to the ignition so a hot wire will set it off aswell.

A few people actually asked my in college why I put an alarm on a 89 micra. . .ha ha just have to laugh

If you take off the interior panels in the rear of the car where the front seatbelts are you will see the door switch wiring just strip back the insulation on the wire and connect your alarm wire to this, better off soldiering it but if you don't have one handy wrap the alarm wire around the door switch wire and cover in electrical tape
