there,s something wrong if your finding your headbolts loose after a run siy fwn
did you hone ALL of the shine/glaze from the bores ? (leaving cross-hatched visible scratches entirely)

yea honed was ok and did the head bolts again.. my dad said the head show and his mates said its bedding in and the way to do it is drive in higher gears to make the pistons work harder

it seemed to have got better so ill see how it goes.

Cheers

how much ####ing about? its probably cheaper to get another engine than buy a headgasket and bolt set.

To summerize, the cooling system is pressurising, low power and lowish compression. And after re-reading your post (its quite confusing) did you check the piston ring gap when it was in the cylinder?

Like that? as if it has knackered the piston rings, it could of damaged the bore too. another way to do it is feel or a lip at the top of the liner, it should be smooth from the top to the bottom, with no ridges in it.

if the headbolts are loose then you didnt do them right, id hazard a guess that theres not alot wrong with the actual engine its more the people working on it.

if it were done right it would be ok.

nah screw this..

forget about it.. not helpful at all ..

everything was done to the book as they say and all proper work me and my dad taking it easy and making sure its all fine.. and asking people he works with advice on things

all the real experts i know around here like the Head shop say its just bedding in new rings to the bores.

new engine .. NO. cant be botherd arguing or going into it.

not really and I don't want to go their.
the cooling system seems OK theirs nothing linked now checking it daylight and so on
compression will get better, powers not too bad still better than most k10s at what 72.5 BHP which will increase.
not confusing just allot to explain "sorry"
gap was done at the head shop should be fine!
theirs no lip there was never that much wear,
all smooth then honed ..

but don't worry about it its getting better just been told to labour it in higher gears get the pistons working :) seems to be working

Thanks././

Hmm. I'm going to close this thread now, but due to the names mentioned in this thread we will be looking into the account in question in more detail soon.
